Following the announcement that the managing directors of Ice Box and Davies Tanner will be participating in this year’s Karma Enduro Rally, the Meetings Industry Association and Church House Conference Centre have signed up as the driving duo's first sponsors.

November 2008 will see Ice Box’s Philip Hughes and Davies Tanner’s Robert Wright take part in the renowned car rally in a bid to raise in excess of £20,000 for charity.

The pair will spend 14 days trekking across the challenging terrain of India in one of the country’s most iconic motor vehicles, a 1950's Ambassador.

"We are really keen to generate as much industry support as possible and it's great to see the Meetings Industry Association and Church House Conference Centre get the ball rolling, as our first sponsors," commented Wright.

The duo will be raising money for the people of Kodaikanal, a town in the Palani Range of Hills in South India. The proceeds of their fundraising will be donated to The Adventure Ashram Project, which is working towards improving the standard of living in the Kodaikanal area through the implementation of new education and health facilities.
